Lincolnshire Health Awards 2018 shortlists revealed

Dates: 31, October, 2018 Category: CCG News Local health

The shortlist for the Lincolnshire Health Awards has been revealed.

Judges spent several hours assessing more than 180 nominations and whittled them down to the final shortlists in each of the 14 awards.

Now, the shortlisted nominees will attend a glitzy awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Lincoln on November 20 to discover who will take home the trophies.

Tough task

Dr Sunil Hindocha, chief clinical officer at NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group, was one of the judges tasked with picking the winners.

He said: “Staff in the NHS, whether front line, support staff, admin or any other role, all have an important part to play in delivering key services.

“Each and every nomination we read was a worthy winner, but we had to create a shortlist and it was a difficult task.

“All the judges recognised the hard work of everyone nominated and would like to congratulate each and every one of those people, even if they haven’t made the shortlist.

“It was touching to hear about how the work done by NHS staff in several of the categories has impacted patients and that is why we feel the Lincolnshire Health Awards are a great way to recognise and celebrate that great work done day in day out.

“We can now all look forward to a great night at the DoubleTree in Lincoln celebrating everything good about the NHS.”
